Overview

This 3 day gorilla adventure takes you to Parc National des Volcanoes (PNV) in the North of Rwanda where about 300 mountain gorillas live. You can track gorillas, climb the Visoke volcano, track the golden monkeys or visit the Karisoke Research Centre, with Dian Fossey the famous primatologist set up, or visit local villages

Day by day itinerary;

 

Day 1: Arrival Kigali-Parc Volcanoes

You will be met at the Kigali International Airport by our safari driver-guide. Drive the three hours North of Kigali to Kinigi through Ruhengeri. Enjoy the rolling hills for which Rwanda is well known, approximately driving for 3 hours.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking Parc Volcanoes

After breakfast, you will depart for the headquarters of the Park where your driver-guide will accomplish the necessary formalities for you. You will meet your ranger guide(s) for a briefing and enter into the forest to begin your day’s activity. After the trekking, lunch and transfer to Kigali. On your way back to the lodge after trekking, a few stops will be made to admire the scenery. Rwanda is the country with over a thousand hills!

Day 3: Parc Volcanoes-KigaliReturn to Kigali, time permitting enjoy city tour including a Genocide memorial site and shopping of African art and craft. With lunch en-route and then transfer to the airport for your home flight. End of Services, Meal plan: Half-Board.

    Best time to visit Uganda

    Uganda is open all-year-long, the best wildlife viewing months in Uganda are during the Dry season from late June to October.

    The most commonly asked Ugandan questions! The solution is straightforward! You are welcome to visit Uganda at any time of the year! It’s a hot and humid atmosphere here.

    The cost of a safari, which is normally higher during peak season, maybe the difference. We offer discounts in May and April, and if you are traveling in groups, we offer a $150 discount on a Uganda safari gorilla permit.

    June to October –Dry Season. Wildlife is easier to spot.

    November to May –Wet Season

    The scenery is beautiful and green Rates drop because it’s the low season.
