Safari overview

 

Explore the Rwanda adorable Gorillas in 3 days. From the fascinating mountain gorillas to the Golden monkeys of Rwanda. Before meeting the endangered mountain Gorillas of Rwanda, the safari takes you for a Genocide tour, to see the  Kigali Genocide Memorial Site.

 

Day 1: Arrival at Kigali and transfer to Volcanoes

After your arrival, meet and greet with your tour driver guide at the Kigali International Airport and have your safari briefings. Later depart for Musanze in the North, home to the famous endangered Mountain Gorillas. If time permits optional city tour of Kigali including a visit to the Kigali Genocide Memorial Site.

Day 2: Mountain Gorilla trekking

After your morning wake-up call and breakfast, report to the park headquarters for gorilla trekking briefings by the Volcanoes National Park’s guides. After you are assigned to a specific group, start your trek which will vary in length depending on which gorilla group you have been assigned to. You will spend one hour in their company before retracing your steps back down the volcano slopes. In the afternoon after you had lunch at the lodge, drive to the Burera-Ruhondo twin lakes.

Day 3: Golden monkey trekking

Breakfast, report to park headquarters to undergo briefings for tracking the rare golden monkeys which is a beautiful and distinctive bamboo-associated primate of the blue monkey family and endemic to the Albertine Rift Valley. After tracking, have lunch at the lodge with an afternoon drive back to Kigali to meet your evening departure flight.

    Best time to visit Uganda

    Uganda is open all-year-long, the best wildlife viewing months in Uganda are during the Dry season from late June to October.

    The most commonly asked Ugandan questions! The solution is straightforward! You are welcome to visit Uganda at any time of the year! It’s a hot and humid atmosphere here.

    The cost of a safari, which is normally higher during peak season, maybe the difference. We offer discounts in May and April, and if you are traveling in groups, we offer a $150 discount on a Uganda safari gorilla permit.

    June to October –Dry Season. Wildlife is easier to spot.

    November to May –Wet Season

    The scenery is beautiful and green Rates drop because it’s the low season.
